Confirmation that Duffey was terminated from Compton, not that his "contract ended" as he claimed in numerous job application and hiring documents. Duffey has apparently paid for an Internet scrub of his firing from Compton as news reports of this significant event are not easily found.

These are serious allegations against Duffey and his Code Enforcement Official, Lonell Butler. Duffey later hired Butler in Oakland, apparently in an effort to stack the deck with cronies to deliver promises made by Mayor Thao to the Duong family and Evolutionary Homes as named in the FBI indictment.

I get that this "loan" took place before Duffey's arrival but how is he not aware, and why didn't he direct that the "loan" be repaid?
